🌍From Seed to plant to coloring your pot - ازرع و لون : اساسيات الزراعة

In this workshop, we will learn the basics of growing plants from seeds, including plant needs, stages of a plant's growth, soil composition, fertilizing stages, watering schedules, and how to test seed quality.

ِEnjoy painting their own pot and personalizing it before planting their basil seeds.

This is a calm, hands-on, and creative experience that blends art and gardening, perfect for beginners, plant lovers, and anyone seeking a mindful activity.

Each participant will leave with:

- a hand-painted pot

- Their own planted basil to take home and continue caring for

objectives or outcomes:

 • Understand the basics of growing plants from seed

• Identify essential plant needs (light, water, soil)

• Learn how to prepare the right soil mixture

• Recognize different fertilizing stages

• Apply a proper watering schedule

• Test seed viability using simple methods

• Create and personalize their own hand-painted pot

👥Ages 15+
Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult, and a simple, engaging introduction to gardening will be provided for them during the experience.

About the facilitator - Sara Alsayed

Sara Alsayed is a certified tour guide with experience in outdoor adventure operations and agritourism. She has volunteered in permaculture and hospitality projects in Saudi Arabia and internationally. 

 
في هذه الورشة، نتعرّف على أساسيات زراعة النباتات من البذور, من احتياجات النبتة، ومراحل نموها، إلى تكوين التربة، والتسميد، وجدول الري، وكيفية اختبار جودة البذور

عيش تجربة فنية بسيطة، من خلال تلوين مركنك الخاص، قبل زراعة بذور الريحان فيه

تجربة هادئة، عملية، ومليئة باللمس: تجمع بين الفن والزراعة
مناسبة للمبتدئين، ومحبي النباتات، ولكل من يبحث عن نشاط واعي وبسيط

في النهاية، يخرج كل مشارك بمركن ملوّن بيده، ونبتة ريحان مزروعة ليأخذها معه ويكمل العناية بها

الأهداف والمخرجات:
• فهم أساسيات زراعة النباتات من البذور
• التعرّف على احتياجات النبات (الضوء، الماء، التربة)
• تعلّم تحضير خليط التربة المناسب
• التعرّف على مراحل التسميد
• تطبيق جدول ري مناسب
• اختبار صلاحية البذور بطرق بسيطة
• تصميم وتلوين مركن شخصي

الفئة العمرية 15+
يمكن للأطفال الحضور برفقة مرافق، وسيتم تقديم شرح مبسّط ومناسب لهم عن الزراعة خلال التجربة.
