🌍Printmaking: Carve, Print & Stitch: Upcycling fabric scraps into wearable art - .انحت، اطبع و خيط

In this workshop, we will be exploring a more accessible and playful approach to printmaking by turning everyday materials into handmade pins, using erasers as a carving surface, we will be creating our own stamps and printing them onto discarded fabric scraps from used clothes, which will then be hand-stitched into a creative wearable everyday pin. 

You will be encouraged to experiment and be playful instead of perfecting the craft, participants will explore different compositions, textures and stitching techniques, through this we can find more ways to repurpose discarded materials turning them into small charms to add personality to everyday outfits. By the end you will be leaving with stamps you can continue using and cute pins to wear or share

The facilitator:

Reem Radwan, goes by Lamee3 on social media, is a multidisciplinary artist who loves exploring different mediums including printmaking, illustration, painting and film photography. She loves experimenting and resists being tied to a single practice or style. Reem is currently pursuing a degree in graphic design. 

Learning Objectives / Outcomes:

A quick introduction to budget friendly block printing.

Learning how to transform boring everyday materials into creative outputs.

Learning how to print onto fabric, and what tools to use.

Exploring fabric and simple stitching techniques. 

Encouraging being playful.

Creating wearable art pieces that can be enjoyed or gifted.

Target Audience

No prior experience needed, open to anyone interested in experimenting.

-Kids:
It will include sharp tools, so kids can be allowed to attend but only if they had a guardian come with them and look after them

في هذه الورشة، نجرب الطباعة اليدوية بشكل مختلف و حلو. نستخدم مواد يومية عادية ونحوّلها الى بروش  مصنوعة يدويًا. بننحت على المساحة ونصنع أختامنا الخاصة، ونطبعها على قصاصات قماش من ملابس مستخدمة، وبعدها نخيطها يدويًا لتتحول لقطع صغيرة قابلة للارتداء

بنجرّب تركيبات مختلفة، ملمس القماش، وأساليب خياطة بسيطة، ونكتشف كيف ممكن نعيد استخدام الأشياء المهملة ونحوّلها لتفاصيل صغيرة تضيف شخصية لملابسنا اليومية.
وفي النهاية، بتطلعوا بأختام تقدروا تستخدموها لاحقًا، وحاجة لطيفة تلبسوها أو تهدوها.
