🌍Make & Reuse: Craft a Leather notebook - اصنع و اعد الاستخدام: غطاء دفتر من جلد

In this workshop, Create something meaningful with your hands. Participants will craft a reusable notebook wrapped in genuine goat leather, designed to be refilled and enjoyed for years to come.

To honor sustainability, the remaining leather will be transformed into a beautiful tassel keychain، making sure nothing goes to waste. It’s a simple, creative way to connect with natural materials while embracing mindful, low-waste practices.

About the Facilitator - Yasmine Maktabi

Yasmine Maktabi is a graphic designer specializing in Islamic geometry. She holds a B.S. in Graphic Design from the Lebanese American University and is a graduate of The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts in Jeddah. She leads workshops with institutions including Hayy Jameel, the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, KAUST, and AISJ, and designs home accessories inspired by Islamic art and Mangour craftsmanship.

في هذه الورشة، سيقوم المشاركون بصنع غلاف دفتر من الجلد طبيعي قابل لإعادة الاستخدام، مصمم ليُعاد تعبئته ويُستخدم لسنوات طويلة

ومن باب الاستفادة الكاملة من المواد، سيتم تحويل بقايا الجلد إلى ميدالية مفاتيح بسيطة وجميلة 

تجربة هادئة وبسيطة للتواصل مع المواد الطبيعية، وممارسة أسلوب واعي وقليل الهدر

تقدّم ورش عمل بالتعاون مع جهات مثل مدرسة الفنون التقليدية في العلا، حي جميل، مؤسسة بينالي الدرعية، كاوست، والمدرسة الأمريكية العالمية في جدة

كما تدير مشروعها الخاص، حيث تصمم إكسسوارات منزلية مستلهمة من الفن الإسلامي وحرفة المنقور التقليدية
